Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. It views symptoms of disease as warning signals of improper functioning of the body, and unfavourable lifestyle habits.
In my practice, I focus heavily on the mind/body connection, because I truly believe that your body is a reflection of your life and your mental and emotional state.
My approach is friendly, informal, and completely judgement-free. I want you to feel welcome coming to me for any and all concerns or challenges – naturopathy can assist with a great many things you might not expect – and that you’re in a safe space while you’re here.
Reiki, which originates from Japan, is an energy-based healing technique involving light touch. Working as a support mechanism to the body, Reiki re-establishes a normal energy flow of ki (life force energy) throughout the body, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body’s innate healing ability.
Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that, when combined with dietary and lifestyle changes, can restore the body’s balance. The goal of acupuncture is to promote and restore the balance of energy that flows through the body. It can be beneficial for a wide variety of conditions from emotional disorders (anxiety, depression) to digestive complaints (nausea, vomiting, irritable bowel syndrome), to infertility.
I practice out of my home-based office in the Queensway + Parklawn area of Etobicoke. Once you’re ready to come see me, I’ll provide the exact address, as well as everything you need to know for your appointment. Rest assured, there’s lots of free parking!
I am also taking virtual appointments and those can be booked the same way as physical ones. Please click book now to select an appointment time.
An initial intake takes between 60 and 75 minutes, during which we will do a whole lot of talking! I’ll ask you about all your symptoms and health concerns, as well as your routine, life stresses, and anything else that comes up in conversation. All of these little details are important, and will help me ‘connect the dots’ for you and get to the root cause(s) of your issues.
For many, it’s an opportunity to unload emotionally, and that’s perfectly ok – it’s all part of the process.
The first appointment following your initial intake is always in person. After that, however, and depending on what brought you in to see me, we may be able to handle some or all your follow-ups via phone or Skype. We will discuss your options when we meet for your initial intake.
An initial intake (which falls under the umbrella of naturopathic medicine) is required no matter what – in order for me to understand your symptoms and identify their root causes. If, from there, you’re most interested in acupuncture or reiki and it makes sense for your circumstances, we can create a treatment plan around your preferences.
In certain situations, yes (for example, onsite acupuncture prior to fertility treatments or if you’d prefer a home visit because you have a newborn). The best thing to do if you’re interested in on-location support is to contact me to discuss your needs, and I can provide you with
I have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy, otherwise the full cost of the visit is charged. It’s no fun to charge someone for a cancellation, but it’s necessary because it’s difficult/impossible to re-book a timeslot on short-notice. Thank you for understanding and respecting this policy. (I will, of course, make exceptions to this rule for extenuating circumstances.)

I am a birth doula. While my naturopathic practice is taking up most of my time these days, I do take on a handful of birth doula clients each year. If this is of interest to you, please feel free to contact me to discuss further.
